6. Japan's Komatsu LAV
The Komatsu LAV (Light Armored Vehicle) was first produced in 2002 for the Japan Self-Defense Force. Similar to the French Panhard VBL, it features four doors and a larger cabin for troop transport. The Komatsu LAV debuted during humanitarian missions in Iraq, offering improved protection against small arms fire compared to other Japanese military vehicles.
