The Czechoslovakian Wolfdog is known for its silver and yellow-gray coat. Its origins date back to 1955 when it was created through an experiment conducted by the CSSR Breed Association in Czechoslovakia. Despite its wolf-like appearance, the wolfdog is actually very friendly.

This breed is kind yet highly energetic and fearless. Its creation involved crossing wolves with guard dogs, which explains its unique traits. With only 340 registered in Slovakia, Italy, and a few other countries, it is considered quite rare. Some wolfdogs can cost up to $1,500. Although it is an amazing breed, the Czech Wolfdog is banned in forty states due to laws against owning wolf hybrids. Even in states where ownership is permitted, regulations vary by county. Reports of illegal wolfdog ownership occasionally appear on CNN or Fox News.
