Triggerfish are actually rather deadly, despite the fact that Thiemann's photo received the 2022 Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards' "Creatures Under the Water Award." When someone gets too close to them, they have a tendency to bite them. Because Theimann was already taking on a risky mission in attempting to catch these fish up close, fortune smiled upon him, causing the fish to smile as well and allowing him to escape unharmed.
