For many of us, especially those of us who work from home and don't want to spend $5 on pricey coffee from Starbucks every morning, K-cups are an essential part of daily life. What can you do with your worn, outdated K-cups, though? It turns out that you can accomplish a lot if you have a green thumb.

Old K-cups can be used as seed starters. Empty, clean, lidless K-cups should be placed inside a large, flat container. Put a scoop of your preferred potting soil into each K-cup. Fill each K-cup with two or three seeds, then cover the seeds with dirt and watch your plants grow.
