4. Alaskan Malamute

These are powerful pack animals that need firm training and strong leadership. Many believe that without proper care, the breed can become confused, attack people, or even turn violent. They must be managed well, as they have a strong prey drive. They also learn slowly, requiring much patience during training. Alaskan Malamutes are task-driven, meaning they will follow their assigned job unless told otherwise, which can be risky. With correct training, injuries from a large Malamute can be avoided.
