The explanation

The vet revealed to Mark that the “puppies” he rescued were actually red fox kits. He explained that at birth, fox kits often look like puppies because of their physical appearance. This confusion is common, as most young red foxes do not have red fur, making them hard to identify.
This revelation helped Mark understand why it was so easy to mistake them for puppies. Though surprised, he was fascinated by nature’s mysteries.
