An unexpected litter

At first, the rescuers did not know how many puppies were trapped. This uncertainty made them wait and stay alert until all were out. Each rescued puppy was a step closer to mission success and a source of emotion for the team.
Fortunately, the drain was not as deep as feared, making the rescue easier and faster. Relief grew as the puppies were brought into the daylight.
