The helicopter reaches a cruising speed of 201 km/h (125 mph) and a top speed of 217 km/h (135 mph), with a range of 507 km (315 miles). It can be equipped with 7.62 mm machine guns and 2.75-inch rocket launchers, making it suitable for various military missions.In 2011, after the Fukushima nuclear disaster, Japan deployed two Huey helicopters for coastal surveillance in the affected area. The Huey also played a key role in the Falklands War between the UK and Argentina, serving in multiple operations.
