6. Jindi KA-60: The Modern Multi-Role Helicopter
Despite many technical issues, progress on the KA-60 helicopter has been slow. After its introduction in 1998, development stalled for years. The first prototype tests began in 2007, although the initial prototype was presented as early as 1984. Persistent engine problems and other technical failures required another decade of testing and improvements. Only in 2017 did the KA-60 finally take flight. The KA-60, measuring 15.6 meters (51 feet 2 inches) in length, is designed for one or two crew members. It can reach a top speed of 307 km/h (191 mph), making it a high-performing aircraft once fully operational.
