15. Bracco Italiano

The Bracco Italiano is one of the oldest pointer breeds, dating back to the 4th century B.C. Once popular in the Middle Ages, they nearly vanished in the 1800s but have recently been revived. Bracco Italianos are calm, steady, and tough, making them excellent hunting dogs. Their sturdy, athletic build is matched by a gentle and intelligent expression. They stand 21 to 27 inches tall and weigh 55 to 88 pounds. Their white coats have orange or chestnut markings. Bracco Italianos are skilled hunters but are also gentle and patient with family. They need regular exercise and mental stimulation to stay healthy and happy.
